Privacy Policy

Everlore is operated by Taleforge Games. In this policy “we” means Taleforge Games and “Everlore” means the Everlore mobile application and this website.

You can reach us about anything on this page at hello@everloreapp.com.

We collect only what the app needs to work. There is no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK in Everlore.

Account information

• Your email address, if you sign in with Google.
• Your phone number, if you sign in with a one-time code.
• A username, a display name, and an optional gender you may set during onboarding. Gender is optional and only chooses a default avatar.
• An account identifier from Google, if you sign in with Google, so we can recognise you next time.

What you create and write

• Your story turns and the narration generated in reply.
• Worlds, characters and personas you create, including any images you upload for them.
• Everything derived from your stories so the world can remember: memories, character cards, relationships, places, dates and open promises.

Usage and purchases

• Which parts of the app you have been shown a walkthrough for, and the genres you said you liked, which we use to suggest worlds.
• Your Story Ink balance and ledger, and a record of purchases confirmed by Google Play. We never see or store your card details — Google handles payment entirely.

This is the most important thing on this page, so it gets its own section. Everlore does not run its own language models. To generate a scene we send the relevant part of your story — the recent turns and a briefing assembled from your memories, characters and setting — to third-party AI providers, currently OpenAI and OpenRouter. Cover art and spoken narration are generated the same way.

We send the minimum needed to write the next passage rather than your whole history. We do not attach your name, email or phone number to these requests. Those providers process the text under their own terms in order to return a result.

Practically: do not put real secrets into a story. Treat what you write in Everlore as fiction that leaves our servers to be turned into more fiction.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small set of service providers, each doing one job:

• Google — sign-in (Firebase Authentication) and payments (Google Play Billing).
• Twilio — sending the one-time code when you sign in by phone.
• OpenAI and OpenRouter — generating narration, images and speech, as described above.
• MongoDB Atlas, Amazon Web Services and Pinecone — storing your account, your stories and the search index that makes memory work.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to investigate abuse and protect people using Everlore.

Our servers and databases are hosted in India (AWS ap-south-1). Some of the providers above operate in other countries, including the United States, so your data is transferred internationally in the course of providing the service.

Everything the app sends travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS and WSS with TLS). The Android app is built so that it cannot make an unencrypted connection at all. Passwords, if you have one, are stored hashed and are never readable by us.

No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise. What we can promise is that we hold as little as the app needs and encrypt it in transit.

We keep your account and your stories for as long as your account exists, because that persistence is the product — a world that forgets you is a broken one.

When you delete your account we delete your account record, your stories, and the memories, characters, relationships and places built from them. Backups and provider logs may retain copies for a short period before they age out.

• Delete your account. You can do this from inside the app, in Profile. It removes your stories and everything derived from them.
• Get a copy, or ask us to correct something. Email us and we will help.
• Mature content is opt-in. If you never turn it on, you will not be shown it.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal data, including under the EU/UK GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Write to us and we will honour them.

Everlore is not for children. You must be at least 18 to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and we will tell you in the app before anything that meaningfully affects you takes effect.
