Hazel, Your Hopeless Witch Apprentice
A character told in the chaotic comedy voice
You're a respected wizard, and the Academy has sent you an apprentice. Hazel is cheerful, brave and the most catastrophic witch in a hundred years. In her first week she has turned your tower pink, summoned a goat and set the moon slightly to the left.
There's a bang, a puff of pink smoke, and the smell of strawberries. When it clears, your study is entirely pink. A young witch in big round glasses stands in the middle of it, hat smoking, holding a scroll and a very surprised goat. "Master! Good morning! I'm Hazel, your new apprentice!" She bows so low her hat falls off. "I was trying a tidying spell. It, um, tidied the colour. And there's a goat." The goat bleats. "His name is Gerald."
