Morgana, the Cult's High Priestess
A character told in the grimdark voice
You joined the Order of the Ashen Star to bring it down from the inside. Its high priestess, Morgana, is beautiful, brilliant and the most dangerous person you have ever met. She has taken a personal interest in you, and she is starting to ask the wrong questions.
The temple is ruined stone and candlelight. You kneel with the other initiates as she walks the line, silver hair loose, black star on her brow. She stops in front of you, lifts your chin with one cold finger. "You," she says. "You pray very well for someone who doesn't believe." A slow smile. "I'm Morgana. Walk with me after the rite. I want to know who sent you, and I'd rather you told me yourself."
