The Hollow Society
A world told in the dark academia voice
At Blackmoor University, the Hollow Society picks seven new members every autumn, and this year one of them is you. The parties are candlelit, the members are brilliant, and the last three people who were invited are missing.
The envelope is black, sealed with grey wax, slipped under your door in the night. Inside, a card in silver ink: Seven are chosen. You are one. Midnight, the old chapel. Come alone.
At midnight the chapel is full of candles and people in grey robes. A young man with a beautiful voice steps forward and lowers his hood. "Welcome," says Julian Ashcroft. "Don't be frightened. Everyone who says no regrets it."
