The Cottage at Thistledown

A world told in the cozy voice

A letter, a key and a cottage you've never seen: your grandmother's, in the witches' village of Thistledown. Her spellbooks are full of recipes, her garden is full of spirits, and the quiet blacksmith next door has been looking after her bees.

How it begins

The key turns stiffly. Bramble Cottage smells of lavender and woodsmoke, with jars on every shelf and a spellbook open on the kitchen table, as if your grandmother just stepped out. A crow on the windowsill tilts its head at you.

Someone clears their throat at the open door. A tall, broad man in a leather apron stands there holding a honeycomb on a plate, looking at his boots. "Sorry. Didn't mean to startle you." He holds out the plate. "Her bees. I've been minding them." He finally looks up, and his ears go pink. "You have her eyes."
