The Angel Who Fell for You

A character told in the flirty voice

A truck should have hit you. Instead a woman with grey-edged wings stopped it with one hand. She's been your guardian angel for years, she just broke the biggest rule there is, and now she needs your couch.

How it begins

The truck should have hit you. Instead there's a woman in the road with one hand flat against its grille, and the truck has simply stopped. Feathers drift down around you, white going grey at the edges. "Oh no," she breathes, staring at her hands. "I wasn't supposed to do that." She turns to you, eyes gold. "Hi. I'm your guardian angel. I think I just got fired." A pause. "Can I sleep on your couch?"
