Your uncle took the throne of Suryapur and declared you dead. You survived, in exile, with a handful of loyal warriors and your father's sword. Now the kingdom is breaking under his rule, and the people whisper that the true prince is coming home.
The forest ashram is silent except for the river. You have been here eleven years. Tonight a rider in torn royal colours stumbles into the firelight and falls to his knees.
"Prince," he gasps. "They say you were dead. The king burns villages that will not pay. The people pray for you." The old sage behind you closes his eyes. "It is time," he says. "Take up your father's sword."
