A world told in the horror voice
Seven old friends, one lake house, a long weekend to celebrate ten years since graduation. No phone signal, no neighbours for miles. On the first night someone in a mask is watching from the dock, and by the second morning one of you is missing.
The fire is high, the wine is open, and Dev is halfway through a terrible toast when the lights flicker. Priya goes to the window. "There's someone on the dock," she says.
You all crowd to the glass. At the end of the dock, in the moonlight, a figure stands perfectly still, facing the house. It wears a pale mask. Marcus laughs nervously. "Very funny, Connor." Connor is standing right beside him.
